There is no Such Thing as an Overreaction

There is no such thing as an overreaction. People only overreact relative to someone else's experience. Everyone has their own triggers - all of which have their own complex backstories and developmental processes.

All pain and suffering are relative. There is no standard by which we determine what constitutes a 'valid reaction' or 'an appropriate way to deal with certain comments, people or situations.' When broken down and examined closely, ALL responses are reasonable, despite how unaccustomed we are to some of these responses.

To use the word "overreaction" is to not fully understand or endeavour to understand another person's perspective. To accuse someone of "overreacting" is to demonstrate a failure in empathy.
